New England is tied with the Patriots for first in the NFL with five straight wins.
The New York Yankees (12) will meet the Los Angeles Dodgers in the series finale on Thursday, but that will not be their only game against a playoff opponent.
The Yankees will play in the National League Division Series at Fenway Park on Wednesday night.
The Dodgers (11) have clinned the National Leaguer of the Year award and will host the Los Angels on Friday at 1:05 p.m.
